Hatch Asia has been selected as the preferred talent partner to help a client in the E-commerce space identify a Regional Director to lead the organization’s HR Business Partnering function across the ASEAN region.

Our client is on an ambitious growth journey and is focused on bringing seamless experiences to its customers! As one of the region’s pioneer large scale e-commerce platforms the organization has an established presence across the region and has a reputation for it’s customer-centricity, innovation and logistical capabilities. 

This is an extremely exciting role where you will be responsible to lead the HRBP function and shape how the function operates across the region. This individual will play a crucial role in bringing people strategies to life through the combination of deep technical human capital expertise and organizational understanding. 

As the Regional Director you will focus on aligning talent strategy to organizational goals and will work in true partnership with the executive leadership team across the region. 

The Challenges

  • Provide proactive and strategic guidance and support for organizational planning and development initiatives that align the human resources agenda in support of key business strategies and initiatives. Work in partnership with the regional teams in order to design and implement a best-in class HR Business Partnering model which enables the HR Function to seamlessly interact with all business verticals. 
  • Drive an effective client-service HR team that instills company-wide trust and value for the HR function, playing the role of trusted advisors to all stakeholders. 
  • Ensure that strategic human capital goals and initiatives are aligned to organizational goals, enabling the organization to bring it’s people strategies to life. 
  • Stakeholder Management : Demonstrate effective and appropriate influencing skills with senior management, combining high-level human capital knowledge with deep organizational understanding. Build strong and influential relationships with trust and mutual respect as the foundation. Leverage strong judgement skills to make decisions. 
  • Work with and through individuals to Instinctively know when and how to introduce change, in such a manner that it is widely accepted and welcomed by the organization. 

What It Takes

  • Strong background in a leadership role as a HR Business Partner with the ability to interact effectively across all levels within the organization. 
  • Sufficient years of successful business partnership at a executive level, with proven success in linking HR strategies to business outcomes. 
  • Ability to lead regional teams and have the capability to grasp the value driver’s of an organization and translate that into a strong people strategy that can be executed and implemented organization-wide. 
  • Preference for experience in the Technology, Retail of FMCG industries and working in progressive HR models.  Multi-company experience is strongly preferred and could be an added advantage. 
  • Manage medium to enterprise-wide projects/initiatives with minimal supervision
