Hatch Asia has been selected to lead a confidential search for a Head, Finance Shared Service Centre for a global organization that is looking to identify a leader to champion the organization’s Finance shared services function. This organization has built a reputation around its customer centricity and operational excellence, globally.

This role will focus on working in close partnership with the executive leadership team to provide strategic direction and technical input in managing Finance Shared Service Centre while continuously developing the resources for technical capabilities and leadership development.

The Challenges

  • Lead and manage the overall FSSC operations to ensure effective and timely completion of activities to achieve the Business Unit /Service Unit service level expectations and are in compliance with the Group’s policies, procedures and standards.
  • Oversee and control internal process performance and seek to apply current best practices and technology to add value to the business.
  • Develop annual and long-term plans, strategy and implementation roadmap to advance the scope of services and depth of coverage of finance shared services centre. 
  • Shape the ready pool of capable and competent professionals to develop beyond their current capacity and to best support the Group’s business growth and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with other Finance departments/teams to ensure FSSC operations support the reporting of financial results of the organisation.

What It Takes

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/ Business or equivalent, with accounting/finance background and/or working knowledge in Finance/Financial Reporting; and professional accounting or finance qualification or a postgraduate degree is a requirement [e.g., ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CFA or MBA]
  • Exposure in senior managerial capacity/role and possess a working appreciation of the role and orientation of the senior management.
