Our client has established itself as a global transport and logistics company. They are ranked as one of the largest container shipping lines and have diverted into a global logistics network over the last few years operating in more than 30 countries.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations in the Vietnam and Cambodia markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, along with a proven track record of effectively managing financial activities within these countries.
The Challenges
- Manage and oversee the financial operations of our Vietnam and Cambodia branches.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and reporting requirements in both markets.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts for the Vietnam and Cambodia entities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency and support strategic decision-making.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes for the assigned regions.
- Lead and mentor finance teams in Vietnam and Cambodia, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
What It Takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, specifically managing financial operations in Vietnam and Cambodia.
- In-depth knowledge of local accounting regulations, tax laws, and compliance standards in these markets.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data to drive strategic initiatives.
- Proficient in financial software and systems, including ERP and accounting software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
