Throughout a history spanning over four decades, our client’s central focus has been on providing comprehensive logistics solutions, specializing in handling and transporting sensitive semiconductor equipment, the company guarantees the secure and timely delivery of shipments for its clients.

This newly created position will oversee the entire group’s logistics and engineering function with over 300 employees.

The Challenges

Logistics Management:

  • Coordinate and oversee the end-to-end logistics operations, including procurement, transportation, and distribution.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics processes, reducing costs and improving overall efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between logistics and other business functions.

Supply Chain Optimization:

  • Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement teams to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing holding costs.
  • Implement and maintain systems for accurate tracking and reporting of inventory, shipments, and delivery timelines.

Engineering Support:

  • Provide engineering expertise to assess and enhance the design and functionality of logistics systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate technological solutions that improve logistics processes and overall supply chain efficiency for clients
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to logistics and transportation systems.

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity and safety of transported goods.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.

What It Takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on engineering applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the knowledge or certified Lean Six Sigma.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
