There is nothing wrong with chasing your dreams.

Many people who stop doing that often look back with regrets.

If you have a dream, then you should give it a try and pursue it.

Undoubtedly, the first step is always the hardest.

Therefore, you can start by creating a plan. Your course of actions and solutions will follow.

For example, if you are into writing, take the plunge and try blogging and see where it takes you.

2. Be Responsible

Chasing your dreams does not mean leaving everything behind.

You don’t have to leave everyone behind to pursue your career.

In fact, don’t leave the loves one in harms’ way just for the sake of following your passion in life.

Exploring your career options can be done in a responsible manner.

Namely, you should have a goal and action plan, plus always have a backup plan.

Ensure that your loved ones understand the reason behind your choice.

Otherwise, you might end up not having food on your table, or even worse, having to depend on your loved ones whom you have neglected.

It does not have to be a grand backup plan.

You can start with your family and friends. To this end, ask for their support as you embark on a new journey.

Alternatively, you can choose to work part-time as you pursue your ‘dream’ job.

3. No need to leave your job

There are a lot of people who chased after their dreams.d

Some did it within the company they work in. Others quit their day job and start from zero.

However, the reality is that not all dreams require you to leave your current employment.

For example, you have invested many years in the technical department of a company because that was what you were trained for.

However, as you grow with the company, you realized that your expertise may lie elsewhere. For example, your colleagues may have approached you for marketing advice.

And you find yourself passionate about it and seeking other career options.

So, you are may consider pursuing your passion marketing and sales department.

Certainly, you can seek consultation with your immediate superior. Find yourself in a more satisfactory position in the company.

However, you will need to prove your value for the department you wish to pursue.

Explore your career options on passion, courage and sense of ownership

It is never too late to start something new.

There are people who found their passion late in their life.

Consequently, did a courageous switch that changed their life.

You can do so too. But, always remember to be courageous, responsible and plan ahead.
